Hi I'm Karen, founder of Just the Tonic Holistic Therapies
I am a passionate believer in the power of slowing down, softening and coming home to yourself.
After years of supporting others in both life and work, I understand how easy it is to put your own needs to one side. That's why I created Just the Tonic, a peaceful, nurturing space for women who are always holding space for others...but rarely for themselves.
Reiki is at the heart of what I offer, my specialist treatment and the soul of my practice. This beautiful energy healing technique helps to gently release stress, restore inner peace and rebalance the body and mind.
Alongside Reiki, I offer a range of stand alone holistic therapies, including:
Massage ~ (full body, back, hot stone and Indian head).
Reflexology
Facials ~ using the natural, cruelty free Tropic skincare range.
Every treatment is deeply personalised, designed to meet your emotional, physical and energetic needs, whether you are looking for deep relaxation, support through life's challenges, or simply time to feel held.
My monthly pamper packages are perfect for those wanting a little extra indulgence and soul nourishment. These seasonal rituals offer the ultimate mind and body reset and are a beautiful way to reconnect with yourself.
Clients often say they feel instantly calmer and more at ease as soon as they step into my treatment room. It's a safe space to rest, release and realign and to leave feeling lighter, clearer and more like you.
I'm 56, a busy wife, business owner and a woman who knows first hand how important selfcare truly is. I use the same practices I offer to support my own wellbeing and I'm here to help you do the same.

My location
I am based in Rugby, Warwickshire, situated just 10 minutes from Coventry. I am easily accessible from Daventry, Lutterworth, Northampton, Royal Leamington Spa and the wider Warwickshire area.

Frequently asked questions
Just the Tonic Holistic Therapies is located within Webb Ellis Court a Housing 21 retirement complex, which is open to the public.
There is free parking at the front of the building.
Appointments can be booked online, just click on the book now button and it will take you through to SalonIQ’s booking system.
Appointments that need to be rescheduled or cancelled must be done so no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Deposits are non-refundable and will be used to cover loss of earnings for no shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice. Please telephone Karen on 01788 288052 should you wish to cancel your appointment, or you can cancel online, if it is before 48 hours.
For appointment moves, your deposit can only be moved with it ONCE and must be done so with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Multiple appointment moves are not allowed as it affects our scheduling and availability for other clients.
If you no-show for a scheduled appointment you will be charged 100% of your appointment cost. Just the Tonic Holistic Therapies reserves the right to decline any person(s) from booking future appointments if the cancellation policy is not adhered to.

For anyone who has a gift voucher from Ovatu booking system, please book your appointment directly with Karen on 01788 288052. Please have your gift voucher to hand when you call.
Gift vouchers purchased through SalonIQ, please follow the book now button and book your appointment as normal, when directed to pay the deposit please pay by gift voucher by inputting the code.
Should you reschedule or cancel your appointment within 48 hours then your deposit will be kept as per my cancellation policy, and a further deposit will be required to book in for the next available appointment. If you have rearranged your appointment before the 48 hours, then your deposit will be carried over.
Please do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start of your appointment time. If you are early, then please kindly wait outside the Wellbeing Suite until your appointment time. There are also chairs at the front by the entrance, should you wish to sit down.
Please arrive alone for your appointment as my treatment room has no waiting area.
The treatment room will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between clients and the treatment couch will always be replenished with fresh clean towels and linen.
It is always best to wear comfortable, easy to remove clothes. For reflexology treatments you will only be asked to remove your shoes and socks (if you are wearing any).
For Reiki treatments you will be fully clothed, but your shoes are required to be removed and placed in the basket provided.
A deposit is required before any treatment is carried out, you can choose to save your card details if you wish, and they will be securely kept on your SalonIQ profile. You can then pay for the balance of your treatment with the stored card we also have a card machine or cash if you prefer. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please let me know beforehand so that I can send you over the bank details. Payment will be required before I start your treatment, (this is for first time clients only).
For regular clients, payment is required before you leave the treatment room, thank you.
