Hi I'm Karen, founder of Just the Tonic Holistic Therapies
My mission is to create a calm, nurturing space where you can truly return to yourself, finding balance, peace and renewal through Reiki and holistic treatments.
After many years of supporting others in both life and work, I understand how easy it is to put your own needs to one side. That's why I created Just the Tonic, a peaceful sanctuary for women only, offering a gentle support for those who are always caring for everyone else.
Reiki sits at the heart of what I offer, it's my specialist treatment and the soul of my practice. This beautiful energy healing technique helps to release stress, restore inner peace and bring the body and mind back into harmony.
Alongside Reiki, I offer a range of stand alone holistic therapies, including:
Back, neck and shoulder massage (including hot stone)
Reflexology
Facials ~ using the natural, cruelty free Tropic skincare range
Sound healing and tuning forks (standalone or combined with Reiki)
Every treatment is deeply personalised, designed around your physical, emotional and energetic needs, whether you are seeking deep relaxation, support through life's challenges or simply time to feel held or cared for.
My monthly pamper packages are perfect for those wanting a little extra indulgence and soul nourishment the ultimate mind, body reset and a beautiful way to reconnect with yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Just the Tonic Holistic Therapies is located within Webb Ellis Court a Housing 21 retirement complex, which is open to the public.
There is free parking at the front of the building.
Appointments can be booked online, just click on the book now button and it will take you through to SalonIQ’s booking system.
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to a new date, once only, provided at least 48 hours' notice is given.
- You may reschedule your appointment once online. Any further changes must be arranged with me directly (07873 121243) and may require a new deposit.
- If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice or not attended the deposit will be retained.
- Repeated cancellations or frequent rescheduling may result in future bookings being declined.
This policy helps keep my diary fair, balanced and accessible to all clients. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Gift vouchers purchased through SalonIQ, or you have a hand written one, please follow the book now button on this website and book your appointment as normal, when directed to pay the deposit please pay by gift voucher by inputting the code.
Should you reschedule or cancel your appointment within 48 hours then your deposit will be kept as per my cancellation policy, and a further deposit will be required to book in for the next available appointment. If you have rearranged your appointment before the 48 hours, then your deposit will be carried over.
Please do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start of your appointment time. If you are early, then please kindly wait outside the Wellbeing Suite until your appointment time. There are also chairs at the front by the entrance, should you wish to sit down.
Please arrive alone for your appointment as my treatment room has no waiting area.
The treatment room will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between clients and the treatment couch will always be replenished with fresh clean towels and linen.
It is always best to wear comfortable, easy to remove clothes. For reflexology treatments you will only be asked to remove your shoes and socks (if you are wearing any).
For Reiki treatments you will be fully clothed, but your shoes are required to be removed and placed in the basket provided.
A deposit is required before any treatment is carried out, you can choose to save your card details if you wish, and they will be securely kept on your SalonIQ profile. You can then pay for the balance of your treatment with the stored card, we also have a card machine or cash if you prefer. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please let me know beforehand so that I can send you over the bank details. Payment will be required before I start your treatment (this is for first time clients only).
For regular clients, payment is required before you leave the treatment room, thank you.
